Tankless 101
Our SMART WATER HEATER
As hot water is required, the tankless water heater fires up to supply hot water on demand. Unlike an old tank water heater, the tankless unit has no storage tank and therefore has no standby heat losses. Standby heat loss is the energy wasted by heating water only to store it in a tank. Significant efficiency is also gained from a tankless simply due to cleaner and better controlled combustion. The result is endless hot water, 30%-40% higher efficiency and up to 80% lower NOx emissions. See the difference between a tank and a tankless.

Cold water entering the unit activates the flow sensor and the cold water is heated within the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is a large capacity gas fired burner 5 times more powerful than the one available in a tank water heater, and unlike the tank, the burner in the tankless is modulated one BTU at a time. This is how our tankless water heater meets the hot water demand for the whole house.
do you know rinnai?
Have
you heard of the Rinnai Corporation? Rinnai was founded in 1920 and has
grown into the world’s largest manufacturer of gas
appliances!
The company built its reputation based on its achievements in
technological innovation and manufacturing efficiency. All factories
meet the
International Standards Organization’s ISO 9001 (influencing
quality) and ISO 14001 (influencing impact of activities on the
environment) certification requirements. All products are CSA
approved and adhere to all ANSI standards.
Newten uses Rinnai because we believe Rinnai makes the most
advanced and dependable tankless water heater in the market today. Each
and every tankless water heater that Newten uses will be tested and
fired a minimum of three times before it arrives at our
customer’s home. While tankless water heaters are
almost always a better choice compared to a conventional tank water
heater,
keep in mind that not all tankless water heaters are created
equal. Do you know that most water heaters use the heated or cooled air
from inside the house for combustion? When you burn away the air from
inside the house, you will have drafts into the
building envelope
making up the lost air, and your heating and cooling system will have
to work harder to recondition the air. Only Rinnai offers tankless water
heaters that use outside air across all their models. Read
